Splendor the moment

Good day

After a very successful weekend of crafting I just had to finish this project. This is flowers on the beach from Conie Fong. I used it for the June Facebook challenge to use bright colours. Though this is probably more a monochrome than bright, though I like the finished project. Everything are from my stash and I used the glitter shorts as my inspiration for the glitter on the image.

Challenges I'm joining:
One Stitch at a time #265 - Flowers
The Outlawz Wednesday sketch 22 June
The Outlawz Twisted Thuirsday - Show us some water - I tried to make the background look like the oceane.
Colour Crazy Craft Wk16 - Gliiter & sparkle in aqua, teal or turquoise
Creative Knockouts #147 - A Charmed life
Creative Corner Challenge - Water fun

Thankyou and have a fantastic weekend.
Hugs from Africa!

Celebrating Fairy Day!

Good day!

I can't believe there is an international fairy day! I actually heard it on the radio, yesterday and this morning when I looked at all the challenges of the past week I saw the Outlawz Festive Friday group is also celebrating it. Then I decided on this Spring Fairy from Julia Spiri. I opted for yellow, since it is a special celebration for someone who's favourite colour is yellow. I have to say, this project is a bit out of my comfort zone, sine it does not have a lot of elements, but in a sense I do like the end result. The leave is a punch from Martha Stewart and I added a bit of glitter. My sentiment I took from Inspiration station of Betsy Flot.

Challenges I'm joining:

Julia Spiri #21 - Anything goes with twist of something from a garden
Digistamp4Joy #125 - Fairies
Tuesday Morning Sketches #357
Chocolate, coffee & cards #112 - Girls of summer
The Outlawz Festive Fridays 24 June - Celebrating international Fairy Day

Thank you and have a fantastic weekend!
Hugs from Africa!

Well Done!

Good day

Had some "me" time today, more by force than anything else. All my men are on their own mission. But who are are complaining if it can be used to catch-up on crafting. This is a digi from talented Jenlee and is the digi for this month's Digistamp4Joy's Fcebook Progressive challenge. It reminds me of our niece who are currently studying in the Netherlands, she has such curly hair. I kept it a simply, since the designer paper, from DCWV - the foiled elegance stack, is busy at the background. The letters were cut with dies from Sizzix.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour challenge - Kraft, white and fuchsia with twist of foil
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2-92
Art by Miran #61 - Anything goes
Brown Sugar #204 - Anything goes
Morgan's Art World #13 - Use patterned paper
Little Red Wagon #347 - Kraft-tastic

Thank you and have a fantastic day!
Hugs from Africa!

You're the painter of your own life

Good day

This is Rory - time to paint the world from Lacy Sunshine, and she was lying on my table no for months and yesterday I took some me time and add some colour to her. The designer paper is from Graphic 45's secret garden collection. Yellow came to my mind since it is such a bright colour to sheer you up and reminded you of summer.....that is still far away from us in the South where we are in the middle of winter. It also reminded me of my sister in law you loves yellow!

Challenges I used as inspiration:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #2-91
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour challenge 7 June - Monochrome
Digi Choosday Wk 23 - Add a Sentiment
Crafting for all seasons #128 - Make it girly
Crafty Creations #317 - tic, tac, toe - Top row left to right
The Paper Shelter #252 - Sentimental
Penny's Paper-Crafty #281 - Favourite embellishments - Pearls & ribbon
The Crafty Addicts #17 - Summertime

Thank you
